AWM has a history of over 75 years in the brass sheets and rod business as one of the industry’s leading suppliers. Its origins became as the largest brass and copper rod, flat and profile manufacturer in Australia. It was also Australia’s only fully integrated copper and copper alloy rolling mill, producing flat sheet, coil and strip to many of Australia’s OEM electrical and automotive companies This rich past has left Austral Wright Metals with excellent knowledge, information and technical expertise to assist our customers with their material selection and performance requirements.

The superior qualities of copper, brass and other copper based alloys make them the ideal products in a vast range of commercial, architectural, industrial and domestic applications.

 

In addition to its well known traditional properties – electrical and thermal conductivity, malleability and resistance to corrosion – copper is far more versatile in combining with other metals to provide performance characteristics needed to satisfy today’s increasingly complex demands. The use of brass flat bar, rounds and profiles in architecture is seen in some of the most iconic buildings in the country. Not only is it used in historic projects, but also modern designs are now using this unique material. The colours and finishes possible are endless.
