Benefits of Brass Tube

The superior qualities of brass tube, copper nickel and aluminium tube make them the ideal products in a vast range of commercial, industrial and domestic applications.

In addition to its well known traditional properties – electrical and thermal conductivity, malleability and resistance to corrosion – brass is far more versatile in combining with other metals to provide performance characteristics needed to satisfy today’s increasingly complex demands. To meet the exact specifications of our customers, Austral Wright Metals sources, stocks and supplies products from leading copper and brass mills around the world.

Copper nickel condenser tubes

Copper nickel round tube has been used in the cooling systems of power stations for over 50 years. Whilst there are several materials that can be used, the value for money of copper nickel round tube makes it one of the most commonly used. The 90/10 alloy, C70610, is the least expensive of these grades with 10% nickel. The wall thickness typically varies from 1.2mm to 1.6mm. The greater the wall thickness the longer the service life of the round tube. Typically the round tube will corrode and pit from the outside. The rate of corrosion is dependent on the water quality in the cooling system. Austral Wright Metals’ history in the manufacturing industry, and particularly of copper nickel round tube, make us specialist importers of this product. Now Austral Wright Metals is a leading specialist importers for this product.
